This February, the winter edition of Copenhagen Cooking invites you to taste the very best of the season’s bounty. You can look forward to an entire month of culinary indulgence with gourmet food, a liquorice extravaganza, the Chinese New Year, and masses of other unique gastronomic adventures. This year we are focusing on the incredible produce from the seas around Denmark (the depths of winter being the best months to enjoy seafood in this part of the world), and delving deeper into the fascinating flavours of Nordic food, as the festival invites you to join us on everything from a lumpfish roe safari to a Icelandic pagan festival. Denmark is enjoying a culinary Golden Age right now, with New Nordic food on everyone’s lips both here and in the rest of the world. The innovative ingredients, techniques and flavours of the Nordic kitchen – made world famous by restaurant noma and ‘world champion’ chef, Rasmus Kofoed – have elevated Denmark to the very highest echelons of global gastronomy, and won Copenhagen 11 Michelin stars. If you want to be where it’s at, right now, in terms of global food movements, this is the city – and the festival – for you.
See you at Copenhagen Cooking!
The next summer edition of Copenhagen Cooking 2012 takes place from August 24 – September 2.
