SEED EXCHANGE is a festival at the Farm of Ideas in Lejre on 19th-20th August, celebrating the meeting between gastronomy and agriculture. Admission is free and open for everyone during both days and there will be activities for curious souls of all ages.
A year ago, Christian F. Puglisi took the initiative to establish an organic production for his restaurants. It is now time to celebrate that the farm is leading by example in how the close encounter between gastronomy and agriculture can add value on both sides.
For this celebration, Puglisi brings people and seeds together from near and afar. There will be a real exchange of seeds, but also in transferred sense. The celebration is an opportunity for inspiration for new sustainable practices in the meeting of local farmers, producers, seed collectors and international star chefs and enthusiasts. All of it taking place in a casual and festive atmosphere at the farm.
There will be an open stage where you can both days experience music and talks. Surrounding the stage, you can locate food stalls selling organic food and drinks. Furthermore restaurant BÆST is doing a pop-up restaurant BÆST pop-up banquet.
In addition to the free program, there will be events where you have to purchase a ticket in advance: practical workshops, a gastronomic Harvest Picnic and the weekend will be concluded with the long table dinner The First Supper cooked by international top chefs .
